- ➤ Johnson County will honor Dr. Lulu Merle Johnson—the first Black woman to earn a Ph.D in Iowa—by installing a seven-foot bronze statue at the county administration building. Historian Rebecca Conard said the project includes a plaza with benches and interpretive panels and will be dedicated this spring with a public event in May or June. Iowa City Press-Citizen

- ➤ Iowa City Downtown District announced that Twilights, a new public art lighting installation, now illuminates the Graduate Walkway in a partnership with the City, local artist Hannah Givler and other design teams.
