- ➤ During Thanksgiving weekend, Iowa City snowplow crews worked 12 to 14 hour shifts to clear eight inches of snow across 13 zones while 26 department workers switched their equipment—Superintendent Brock Holub said crews used just enough salt to protect roads and the environment.
