Iowa mother and son Kathy and Corbin Shuckahosee represented the Meskwaki Nation at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City yesterday — they performed with Native Pride Productions and 10 dancers at multiple stops along the route, finishing with a one-minute routine in front of Macy’s store for NBC.

University of Iowa professor Jay Holstein died November 14 in Ames at 87 after a brief illness—he was known for his clear, memorable lectures and taught tens of thousands of students during his five-decade career, leaving a lasting impact as his family and the university honor his legacy.
