Project Iowa's Locker Wars fundraiser is a fun event modeled after Storage Wars that will raise money to help Iowans find jobs.

The event will use a playful twist—combining fun and the push to boost local employment.

Summer of the Arts will host its second annual Disco Ball fundraiser on Saturday, Nov.

1 at the First Avenue Club (1550 S. 1st Ave.) in Iowa City, featuring a live DJ, disco-era hits, and a free drink with each $25 ticket. Proceeds will support free arts programming throughout the year.
