GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Work began today to remove items from the Iowa City State Historical Society Research Center, which will close at the end of 2025 due to budget cuts. A lawsuit to block the transfers—seeking to return moved items—is set for a court hearing next week. KWWL
- ➤ A truck loaded historic collections from the Centennial building in Iowa City Monday morning for a move to Des Moines—this shipment began even as advocates filed a lawsuit to keep the building open.
