More than 300 people gathered at Hubbard Park on Sept.15 to honor Charlie Kirk, the conservative influencer shot on Sept.10 in Utah, during a candlelight vigil organized by the UI Turning Point USA chapter & speakers shared personal memories of his faith and free speech.

After a standout performance against UMass, Kaden Wetjen earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week by tying the Iowa record with a 95-yard punt return touchdown—he had four punt returns for 182 yards and remained second in the Big Ten with 192 return yards this season.
