- ➤ Iowa City police are searching for suspects after an early Sunday shooting near Court Street at 2:55 a.m.—four people were injured with non-life-threatening wounds and no arrests have been made. Iowa City Press-Citizen
- ➤ Violence intervention programs in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are credited with reducing shots fired incidents—Cedar Rapids recorded 16 confirmed cases in the first half of this year compared to 24 last year and Iowa City saw three cases compared to seven in 2024. The Gazette

- ➤ Iowa City Fire Department has adopted HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud to send real-time alerts via navigation apps and connected vehicles — helping drivers spot emergency vehicles and roadside events on Interstate 80.
