On Sunday, Beadology Iowa hosted a marble-making class attended by four locals, including Joyce Berg who has been to around 300 sessions.
Co-owner Karen Kubby said the class helps participants enjoy hands-on art + appreciate it at farmers markets or on the retail store floor.
🏛️ Government
Johnson County is considering a criminal mental health court that would offer treatment plans instead of jail time for eligible, low-level offenders with serious mental illness (such as schizophrenia).
Building on its existing Civil Mental Health Court, the proposal is partly funded by a $115,000 grant.
