The Iowa City Community School District Board of Education approved nominations for its Financial Oversight Committee to address audit findings of unauthorized fund moves and over-hiring of special education staff.
The appointments include leaders with strong experience in finance & management.
🏛️ Government
The first phase of the Forevergreen Road extension broke ground Wednesday to improve traffic flow between Coralville and North Liberty.
The $20 million project, with $2.5 million in federal funds, is expected to cut travel time from eight minutes to as little as three and will continue through fall.
