Iowa City will keep its UNESCO City of Literature status even though the U.S. will leave UNESCO in December; John Kenyon said the city will continue to support writers and work with its global creative network—maintaining its cultural role.
The nonprofit will keep promoting literary exchange while the national membership changes.
