- ➤ Greater Iowa City, Inc.—supported by the Community Foundation of Johnson County—has advanced its STRID initiative that targets North Liberty’s Cherry Street, Coralville’s 5th Street, and South Iowa City’s Sycamore districts to boost the local economy and improve housing, transportation, childcare, and public space. - ➤ Record flash flood warnings have been issued so far in 2025 across the U.S., including 39 in eastern Iowa, according to data from Iowa State University’s Environmental Mesonet.
