A group of Johnson County agencies will host a Healthy Kids Iowa food distribution event on Wednesday, July 30 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Pepperwood Plaza in Iowa City — eligible families can receive $40 worth of groceries for each child aged 4 to 18.

Greater Iowa City, Inc.—supported by the Community Foundation of Johnson County—has advanced its STRID initiative that targets North Liberty’s Cherry Street, Coralville’s 5th Street, and South Iowa City’s Sycamore districts to boost the local economy and improve housing, transportation, childcare, and public space. The group will host refinement sessions with over 45 local professionals to shape plans focused on equity, affordability, and sustainability.
