🎓 Education
The Iowa City Public Library earned Tier 3 accreditation from the State Library of Iowa on July 17 by meeting nearly all of the required standards and additional criteria.
The recognition is valid (effective until June 30, 2029) as the library continues to support community learning.
🏥 Health
The Iowa Department of Health reported 57 cyclosporiasis cases through July 15, about half linked to international travel and none tied to the national outbreak.
Officials advise following safe food handling practices + thorough washing of produce to reduce the risk.
