  • Parents in Iowa City face uncertainty after Loving Arms Kids Care was forced to leave St. Mark’s United Methodist Church by June 30th due to noise, cleanliness and lack of financial transparency. The daycare, which moved to a temporary location weeks ago, lost nearly one-third of its enrollment — raising concerns among families and staff about future childcare options.  KCRG

  • A crash on Wednesday morning closed the westbound lanes of I-80 between West Branch and Iowa City—DOT officials report the impact is between County Road X30 and County Road F44.  KCRG

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Kum and Go gas stations in Iowa will soon be rebranded as Maverik as remodeling begins in a few days with locations in Neola, Adair, Walnut and Stuart among the first to change—they will stay open with kitchens closing early during a four-day update. Maverik, which bought Kum and Go in August 2023, said rewards points will not transfer to its Adventure’s First Stop rewards program.  We Are Iowa
