Kathleen Reynolds — an Iowa City resident — is organizing a donation drive to help flood victims in Kerr County, Texas; she and her son created Iowans Supporting Texans and plan to work with local Salvation Army chapters to deliver a semi-truck load of supplies while she covers travel expenses so that all donations assist the victims.

Videos show that on June 22 (3 a.m.), an 18-year-old woman drove through a red light and into the Iowa River and on June 25 an Amazon truck lost control near North Riverside Drive and Highway 6, with city officials saying the incidents were isolated cases caused by alcohol and wet weather and no injuries were reported.

UI Health Care will reopen its renovated 26-bed inpatient family medicine unit at the downtown campus on 500 East Market Street this July—designed to offer comprehensive care for conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and severe infections while the campus, which served over 72,000 patients last year, expands its services.
