Luigi, an orange kitten rescued after spending nearly two days trapped in a drain pipe in Cedar County, will be available for visits and adoption at Kitty Corner Social Club in downtown Iowa City starting on Tuesday, July 14.

Visitors may submit adoption applications during the week.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Coralville Lake to celebrate renovations that include an upgraded administration building, visitor center and new ranger equipment storage facility — finishing touches on a visitor center display will be completed within the next year.
