Law enforcement in Johnson County is preparing for heavy crowds this weekend as Savannah Bananas take the field at Kinnick Stadium on Friday and Saturday & a Big and Rich free concert and Jazz Fest kick off in Coralville and downtown Iowa City respectively.

Iowa City Community School District has named Amy Kortemeyer interim superintendent starting July 1.

Kortemeyer brings over 30 years of education experience (including service as deputy superintendent) and will work with the board and community partners to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
