On Saturday, the Iowa City Mountain Bike Club won state championships in Dubuque when its Junior Varsity and Middle School teams finished first and its Varsity team came in third.
The club, now in its third year, has grown into one of the largest competitive teams drawing youth from Johnson, Linn, Iowa, and Washington counties—boosting local sports prominence.
None of Iowa’s four Division I men’s basketball programs got a pick in the NBA Draft — each school signed an undrafted free agent who will try out in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 10–20.
