CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old woman was charged with operating under the influence after her car crashed into the Iowa River near Riverside Drive and Iowa Avenue on June 22 (just after 3:00 a.m.) and admitted she had switched drivers, with a test showing her blood alcohol was above the legal limit. KCRG
- ➤ Two women were charged with causing bodily injury in a fight at El-Rays on May 18th—one is accused of stomping on a victim's head while the other was seen punching her, though both denied assaulting the victim. KCRG

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Iowa will spend $15 million from its P3 fund in fiscal year 2026 to renovate an old art building for the Department of Dance and launch an exercise oncology clinic—efforts aimed at improving care for cancer survivors.
