🎓 Education
The University of Iowa and its Board of Regents have launched a search for a full-time executive director for the Center for Intellectual Freedom — a role with a salary range of $200,000 to $450,000.
Applicants must show full professor tenure eligibility and submit materials by Aug. 14.
An audit on June 24 revealed $38M in unapproved transfers and a nearly $1M deficit in the student activity fund, worsening the school district's budget crisis as it prepares for emergency loans and spending cuts starting fiscal year 2027.
The district will review and realign duties to improve financial oversight.
