A new digital chat project launches this summer that lets Iowa City residents text with a statue of local historian Irving Weber to learn about the town's history and public art.

The project is a collaboration among the Public Art program, Downtown District, Public Library, and Weber's family.

Iowa City Downtown District created a new Director of Economic Vitality role to boost business growth and lead recruitment downtown.
