- ➤ Starting Tuesday, June 10, the Iowa Department of Transportation will close the exit ramp from Penn Street to northbound I-380 in North Liberty for up to three months. Drivers must follow a detour via Penn Street to the southbound ramp and exit at Forevergreen Road — safety concerns have prompted the closure as crews reconstruct the ramp. KCRG
- ➤ Iowa City Downtown District announced a renewal process for its Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District covering 2026—2036 and property owners must sign petitions to support continued investments in downtown safety, clean up, and economic development before the current plan expires on June 30. The proposal also includes expanding district boundaries near Downtown UI Health Care and from Court Street east to Gilbert Street, with the City Council set to review it after public hearings.
