- ➤ Maria Dorman (19) led police on a chase along Highway 218 and Highway 1 south of Iowa City at 8:33 p.m. on Thursday, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour before she stopped and later told officers (she had never been caught speeding that fast) as she was arrested and charged with eluding law enforcement. - ➤ Six students from Johnson County high schools were chosen as the Press-Citizen Student of the Year + over 12,500 votes were cast in polls held from May 21 to May 29.
