Living History Farms is hosting a family-friendly 1876-style event to honor Iowa soldiers from the Civil War — a live showcase of Memorial Day history that invites visitors to step back in time.
Iowa lawmakers added a mandate to a budget bill requiring University of Iowa students to complete six credit hours at the Center for Intellectual Freedom to graduate—students at Iowa State and UNI must complete required courses starting in July 2028.
Gov. Kim Reynolds will decide whether to sign the bill.
