  • Iowa City Transportation Director Darian Nagle-Gamm said that the fare-free transit pilot increased ridership by 30 percent since it began in August and that new federal funds will help improve bus stops and build a new transit facility. He added that adding more electric buses and switching to a new manufacturer will boost service reliability as the system grows.  The Gazette
