EDUCATION NEWS

  • Teacher Raquel MacKay now has a permanent space on Iowa Avenue for her Spanish immersion classes that serve students ages 5 to 13, and enrollment for summer sessions is open.  KCRG
  • The University of Iowa said its ICON system is back online today after a cybersecurity issue disrupted access to Canvas for students and teachers. ITS is monitoring the service as some features remain unavailable.  KWWL
  • Canvas is now fully back online after a cyberattack disrupted course access on May 7 during finals week, and local officials confirm systems in several schools were restored by late Thursday night—helping students resume their studies.  Iowa City Press-Citizen
