Gas prices in Iowa rose 33 cents from last week & now average $3.84 for regular unleaded while the national price increased by 21 cents to $4.23.
Diesel edged up slightly to $4.94 but remains below the national average.
The taxpayer-funded Center for Intellectual Freedom at the University of Iowa showed low enrollment in two one-credit classes launched in late March, and experts say student interest will need a boost (possibly through mandates) for the center to succeed.
The Iowa Board of Regents remains supportive as it reviews the report.
City leaders continue planning a $14M competition swimming pool in Coralville — the project depends on a funding decision from the local school district, which will decide by the end of June.
