- ➤ Iowa City man Euan MacGregor pleaded guilty to embezzling $3.2 million from his former employer and was sentenced last week in Sacramento to 41 months in federal prison—he must repay over $3.2 million and serve 36 months of supervised release. KCRG

- ➤ Burger fans cast 6,000 ballots and nearly 400 restaurants were nominated in Iowa's Best Burger Contest; the top 10 finalists, including one from Iowa City, were chosen after 16 years of the contest.
