Iowa lawmakers passed a bill that increases K-12 funding by 2% or $160 per student and sends it to Gov. Reynolds—shifting $42.2 million for budget guarantee costs to state funds to protect local taxpayers while awarding $7 million to boost paraeducator pay for the coming school year.
